Bio – If I look back, other than starting a family the thing that has brought me so much fulfillment has been dreaming up and working on my homes, it took me years to realize I could turn it into a career. My prior experience in design adjacent roles and project management has laid the groundwork for success in interior design.

Design Philosophy – My approach embraces the balance between practicality & beauty, favoring a less is more POV, where thoughtful, intentional choices create a beautiful home without excess. I pair psychology and design to optimize home life for the people I’m designing for. In learning about who my clients are, how they live in their homes and what they ultimately want out of their home life I try to create a vision that is a reflection of them, with an emphasis on functionality and their needs. Sustainability is also super important to me. There is a ton of waste in our industry, so whenever possible I try to leverage existing pieces, incorporate vintage furnishings or accessories, or use companies that have sustainable business practices.

How Niki Zdanow Reimagined the Same Kitchen
This renovation is on an outdated kitchen in an otherwise updated home, they needed a more functional kitchen, more storage and room to host, while simultaneously fitting seamlessly in with the rest of their existing improvements, a struggle that many people face in their home. Without any real structural work but by flipping around the existing floorplan, Niki was able to identify triple the amount of space for the new kitchen than they had previously.
