Gretchen Rose - Authentic Carpentry Signature Designer

Blending bold concepts with livable flow, Gretchen brings purpose and clarity to every layout

Bio – My formal school training is in something you wouldn’t expect from a designer/decorator- I am a registered nurse and worked in the ICU from 2017-2022. I did design work on the side the entire time, and eventually I left the hospital altogether. I couldn’t be happier with this decision, as I love helping people love their homes even more.

““I believe collaboration and communication are paramount in functional and beautiful design. I love old homes. I love Kentucky. I love traditional design with a spicy twist. I love color.””

Design Philosophy – Functional, approachable, and personal designs are the core goals that guide my work. I like to be efficient (thank you, nursing degree) as well, but recognize the fact that a collected space and thoughtful design do not happen overnight. I am influenced by my surroundings, just like everyone else- whether its the true outdoors, a gorgeous movie set, architecture in historic towns on our travels, or old magazines.

Using her love for the traditional and unique Gretchen made some unexpected decisions that resulted in a dream kitchen that was even better than we’d hoped for!
